Dr. Celia Mamby, Dr. Simbo Aduloju to Continue Seeing Patients in Lithonia at New Hillandale Office

New Hillandale OfficeGeorgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) – the largest private medical oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast – continues to grow and expand its services with the relocation of its Hillandale office in Lithonia to a larger, state-of-the-art building across from DeKalb Medical at Hillandale.

The new office is located at 2745 DeKalb Medical Parkway, Suite 110, Lithonia, GA, 30058. The phone number remains the same: 770-981-5431.

Drs. Celia Mamby and Simbo Aduloju will continue seeing patients at the new Hillandale office, which features an expanded chemotherapy room, more exam rooms, and more overall square footage.

Dr. Mamby, a founding partner of GCS, has been with the practice for 16 years and is also a board member. She said they’re all very excited about the new Hillandale office.

“Our ability to provide the best cancer care to our patients is greatly enhanced with our many upgraded features,” she said.

Dr. Mamby has extensive experience in treating cancer patients and is board certified in internal medicine, palliative care and hospice medicine, and medical oncology. She is active in ensuring the best care for all cancer patients regardless of their background and financial means. Dr Mamby presently serves as a Board member and executive officer with “Sisters. . .by Choice”, a non-profit organization committed to providing education, support, and assistance to breast cancer patients, as well as breast cancer screening to the underserved community.

Dr. Aduloju joined GCS in July of 2009, and is the founder of the Nigerian Community Health Awareness Initiative, an organization that works to break the barriers between Nigerian culture and health issues. It educates people about the importance of cancer, blood pressure, and diabetes screening in familiar settings like churches and cultural gatherings.

“I am committed to being involved in the health of my community, and we are very fortunate that we have such wonderful resources at our disposal to assist us in providing superior patient care,” said Dr. Aduloju.

GCS’s full range of patient care and support services will be available at the new Hillandale office, including nutritional counseling, pain management, wellness counseling, and home health coordination. Eligible patients will still have access to GCS’s cutting-edge clinical trials.

The office boasts a completely redesigned interior décor, welcoming patients and their supporters with inviting textures and colors. The chemotherapy room is larger and holds more chairs. There are six patient exam rooms, compared to four at the old office, and Wi-Fi Internet access is available in each, allowing physicians and support staff to share and access information immediately.

Georgia Cancer Specialists is the largest private medical oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast and a leader in advanced cancer treatment and research. The practice offers community-based medical oncology and hematology services and is the first private oncology practice to also provide a full range of support services for patients in Georgia, including nutritional counseling, pain management, wellness counseling, and home health coordination. The GCS research department, whose focus is bringing targeted cancer therapy to communities, is the first in Georgia to offer Phase I clinical trials, the most novel cancer therapies available. GCS has 30 offices, 42 physicians, and more than 480 support staff members located in Metro Atlanta, North and Central Georgia, Southeast Tennessee, and Southwest North Carolina, and provides care through approximately 205,000 annual patient visits.
