Georgia Cancer Specialists Presents Second Installment of “Alive and Thriving” Health Lecture Series at Lake Oconee Office

GCS Nutritionist Lisa Eisele to Continue “You Are What You Eat” Theme

Back by popular demand and growing bigger with each class, Georgia Cancer Specialists’s (GCS) presents the second installment of the “Alive and Thriving” health lecture series at the GCS Lake Oconee office, Tuesday August 5, from 12 -1 PM.

GCS nutritionist Lisa Eisele will continue her discussion of “You are what you eat, which will focus on topics such as:

  • Caloric and fat content of fast foods and snack items, and how they contribute to the present obesity epidemic
  • How to interpret the nutrition on food packages
  • The importance of exercise
  • Portion control

Lisa Eisele is the nutritionist for GCS’s Lake Oconee and Milledgeville offices. Eisele specializes in weight management and cancer prevention, and is a member of both the Georgia Dietetic Association and the Middle Georgia Dietetic Association.

The lecture will take place in the Lake Oconee office’s Auditorium, at 1000 Cowles Clinic Way, Magnolia Building, Greensboro, Georgia 30642. The free event is open to the public and lunch will be provided. To RSVP, please call 706-454-0159.
