Many cancers are curable if detected early. Some cancers can be prevented with vaccines. To date, we have vaccines to prevent two cancers which are caused by viruses. The vaccine against Hepatitis B virus prevents liver cancer, and two vaccines prevent cervical cancer caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus).
