Dr. Aaron Alizadeh was featured on Atlanta’s Fox 5 news live on Thursday, December 9, to discuss the potential changes to cigarette packaging as well as a recent study about the impact of a single puff of cigarette smoke.
In an effort to discourage Americans from smoking, the FDA has proposed placing graphic images of the effects of tobacco on cigarette packaging, something that Dr. Alizadeh hopes will be effective in reducing the number of smokers in the country.
Additionally, the surgeon general recently released a warning that just one puff of cigarette smoke can trigger the body to have a heart attack as well as increase the chance of blood clots.
