ajcGeorgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) physician Dr. Janice Galleshaw was recently featured in major Atlanta media outlets for being named a Top Doctor by Atlanta magazine for medical oncology.

Dr. Galleshaw was featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Alpharetta Revue & News, Forsyth Herald, and Johns Creek Herald.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by my peers as a Top Doctor,” said Dr. Galleshaw.

Dr. Galleshaw practices at the GCS Northside office in Sandy Springs (1100 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 600; 404-256-4777) and the GCS Alpharetta office (3330 Preston Ridge; 678-566-6995).

GCS is the largest private medical oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast.

Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors is compiled by Castle Connolly, an established healthcare research company based in New York. Its physician-led team of researchers selects Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes evaluation of education and professional experience. A randomly selected sample of board-certified physicians is surveyed, and they nominate excelling physicians they would send their own families to as Top Doctors.

“It brings our doctors great joy to provide patients with the best care,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, president and CEO of GCS. “It’s fulfilling to know that our fellow physicians recognize this.”

The list of doctors contains the names of physicians who were mentioned several times by other physicians in their communities.
