Georgia Cancer Specialists Physician Discusses Breast Cancer, Screening, and Risk Factors

Georgia Cancer Specialists Physician Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah (“Dr. Jay”) recently gave lectures in her homeland of India, in which she discussed breast cancer, screening, and risk factors.

“I’m thankful for the chance to speak,” Dr. Jay said. “It’s important to educate India’s cancer community on the latest in first-class cancer care.”

Dr. Jay conducted the following lectures.

• 12/28/07 at JSS Medical College, Mysore, for the Academic Society. Topics included breast cancer, genetics, and genomics.

• 12/29/07, in Jayanagar, Bangalore, for a group of 150 senior citizens. Topics included screening, risk factors, genetics of cancer for both men and women.

• 1/2/07, at Kidwai Memorial Cancer Institute, for an audience of 200 people made up of medical students, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, microbiologists, residents, and fellows. Topics included breast cancer and new advancements in therapy.

Dr. Jay has been recognized in local and national media, being named a “top doc” by Redbook Magazine, Ladies Home Journal, and Atlanta Magazine. She was also honored with the CEO Recognition Award from the DeKalb Health System in 2002.
