Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Gwinnett Medical Center Offers Many Services Associated With Cancer Treatment

Center a Collaborative Effort Between Atlanta Oncology Associates, Georgia Cancer Specialists

The Georgia Centers for Total Cancer Care — comprehensive cancer care facilities — recently opened its fifth office with the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, located at 698 Duluth Highway on the Gwinnett Medical Center campus. Patients are now receiving treatment at the center.

The centers are comprehensive cancer care facilities where patients can have access to many of the services associated with cancer treatment, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, radiology, imaging, and a specialty pharmacy.

Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA; phone number: 770-962-8888) — one of the largest radiation groups in the Southeast — and Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS; phone number: 770-822-0788) — the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast — provide cancer care for the centers.

The 6,711 square foot Lawrenceville facility is completely renovated and includes only state-of-the-art machinery. Its location on the Gwinnett Medical Center campus also allows Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care to access the hospital’s diagnostic and cancer treatment services.

AOA physicians Drs. Mark Quinn and Craig Wilkinson, and GCS physician Dr. James Hamrick will staff the new venture.

Dr. Quinn, who has been practicing in Lawrenceville for nearly seven years, said, “we are very excited about the opening of the Lawrenceville Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care and look forward to offering the citizens of Gwinnett County the best in total cancer care.”

Dr. Wilkinson agrees. “Gwinnettians not only have the best cancer care at their disposal, they have it all under one roof,” he said.

“It’s wonderful to know that cancer patients in Gwinnett can streamline their treatment schedules and spend more time resting at home,” said Dr. Hamrick.
