Recently Dr. Bruce Feinberg – president and CEO of Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) – was featured in a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) article regarding the increasing price of cancer drugs and the effect it is having on doctors.
The WSJ article “Pricey Drugs Put Squeeze on Doctors” discusses how the ever-rising prices for cancer drugs are affecting the oncology world. The tension is causing relationships with patients to falter, doctors to go into debt, and interfering with treatment options.
“I was very happy to lend my opinion on such an important topic,” said Dr. Feinberg.
In the article, Dr. Feinberg talked about how scarce reimbursements, combined with the price of drugs, is starting to come out of doctors’ incomes, and in turn effecting the treatment options that can be provided for patients.
