Georgia Cancer Specialists Opens New Office in Athens

Dr. Cheryl Jones, Dr. Richard Loyd, and Dr. Laura Weakland Bring Comprehensive Cancer Care to Clarke County

Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS)—the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the southeast—now offers comprehensive cancer care in Clarke County, with the recent opening of its newest office in Athens.

“We’re thrilled at the opening of our Athens office,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, GCS president and CEO. “Clarke County’s cancer patients are getting the very best in cancer care.”

Dr. Loyd, who also sees patients at the Lawrenceville GCS office, looks forward to practicing in Athens. “It represents one more step in our effort to provide the best possible treatment to all of Georgia’s cancer patients,” he said.
