Georgia Cancer Specialists and WSB AM 750 Team Up For Prostate Proactivity Campaign

Friday, January 5th, 2007

Throughout the month of January, GCS, the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast, is teaming up with WSB AM 750, the most popular radio station in metro Atlanta, for the Prostate Proactivity Campaign.

The radio campaign, which includes several advertisements voiced by Dr. Feinberg, encourages men throughout Georgia to get screened for prostate cancer.

“Diagnosed early, prostate cancer is virtually 100% curable,” said GCS President/CEO Dr. Bruce Feinberg. “That is why advanced screenings for early detection are so imperative.”

One in six American males will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime, leading to more than 6,000 new cases in Georgia each year.

These are daunting statistics. The good news is that prostate cancer treatments have never been more targeted or more effective. Through early detection, advanced therapies, and clinical trials, the physicians of Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) are winning the war on cancer everyday.

During the campaign, Georgians can also receive answers to their questions and concerns about cancer by GCS’s board-certified physicians through the Ask the Doc page of gacancer.com.

Tune in to WSB in January to hear more about the Prostate Proactivity Campaign.
