Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) nurse Nancy Young was nominated for the first AJC Jobs Nursing Excellence Awards. Ms. Young joined the likes of over 200 nurses throughout Georgia recognized for excellence in the field of nursing.
“We are all proud that someone from the GCS nursing staff is being recognized for the healthcare excellence they provide,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of GCS.
GCS is the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast. The practice offers a wide-range of support services, including mid-level providers who specialize in oncology.
GCS midlevel providers have completed additional education at the master’s degree level and have obtained national certification. They assist the physician in guiding and planning patient care, performing physical examinations, requesting laboratory tests, ordering medications, and educating the patient, family, and staff members.
Ms. Young offers cancer support services at the GCS Kennestone office in Marietta.
