“Touching Tomorrow” Event Raises $268,000 for 2005 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Hadassah Medical Organization

Georgia Cancer Specialists CEO Dr. Bruce Feinberg Honored at Event

“Touching Tomorrow,” an event celebrating the volunteer organization Hadassah and honoring Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS), raised $268,000 on Sunday, September 25, 2005, at the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta.

The event, which benefited cancer research at the Hadassah Medical Organization, recognized Dr. Feinberg as a nationally acclaimed oncologist and author.

“The amount of money raised at this event is overwhelming,” said Dr. Feinberg. “These funds will benefit an organization with a wonderful purpose.”

According to their web site, “Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer women’s organization, whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.”

The Hadassah Medical Organization has been nominated for a 2005 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts in promoting peace in the Middle East.
