Looking to further promote Georgia Cancer Specialists’ “Totes for Tots” program, GCS CEO Dr. Bruce Feinberg and COO Dr. Wendy Hawke appeared on WSB’s “People 2 People” and Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” recently. Dr. Feinberg’s January 11 appearance on “People 2 People” and Dr. Hawke’s January 7 appearance on “Good Day Atlanta” are just two steps out of many being taken to raise the profile of GCS’ suitcase drive for foster children.

Totes for Tots takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and commemorates the holiday by helping to bring “respect and dignity” to the foster community. Speaking to host Jocelyn Dorsey on “People 2 People,” Dr. Feinberg said, “As is the case with cancer, you have to help heal the spirit as well as the flesh, and we feel Totes for Tots will bring some much-needed respect, dignity, and attention to the foster population.”

During her spot on “Good Day Atlanta,” Dr. Hawke talked about GCS’ commitment to honor Dr. King and help out foster children. “We wanted to find a way to commemorate MLK Day and we figured what better way to do that than with some sort of voluntary service that would help raise awareness for a great cause.”

“People 2 People” is a weekly show that discusses interesting community issues and events. “Good Day Atlanta” airs weekdays and is one of Atlanta’s most popular morning talk shows.
