With the addition of Dr. Victoria Afshani, Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) has added three physicians in the last two months as it continues to grow and expand its services as the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast. Dr. Afshani will practice at the Rockdale office.
Dr. Bruce Feinberg, CEO/President of GCS, said, “We are excited to add Dr. Afshani to our talented group of physicians.”
GCS now has 35 physicians and 23 offices throughout Atlanta and Macon.
Dr. Afshani joins GCS after serving on the staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, both in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Afshani received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, New York. Her areas of special interest include management of breast and gastrointestinal cancers, cancer genetics, and management of hematologic disorders.
