Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah Recognized as “Top Doctor” by Second National Magazine in Seven Months

Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah has been recognized as one of “The Best Doctors for Women—Coast to Coast” in the April issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, a national women’s magazine. The magazine is one of the nation’s 10 largest, with a circulation of 5.1 million readers.

Dr. Srinivasiah, who practices at Georgia Cancer Specialists’ DeKalb and Gwinnett clinics, was one of only 2 doctors recognized in the Atlanta area, and the only medical oncologist. The list focused on physicians in three women’s-health fields: obstetrics/gynecology, gynecological oncology, and breast-cancer specialists.

Castle Connolly, the publisher of the consumer health-care guide “America’s Top Doctors”, compiled the list. To compile the lists, Ladies’ Home Journal reports that “Castle Connolly’s team of physicians and researchers follows a rigorous screening process to select the nation’s top doctors. Using mail and telephone surveys, electronic ballots and other research, they ask area physicians to identify highly skilled, exceptional doctors. Careful screening of doctors’ educational and professional experience is essential before the final selection is made among those physicians most highly regarded by their peers.”

This is the second time Dr. Srinivasiah—known by her patients as “Dr. Jay”—has been recognized by a national women’s magazine.  Seven months earlier, Dr. Srinivasiah was featured in the October issue of Redbook, a 2.3-million circulation Hearst Publication, which had a special section with a listing of “America’s Top Doctors.”
