Our Role Under Managed Care Plans
As part of our service to you, we obtain referral numbers required to cover any service ordered by your doctor in our clinic. Referrals may be needed for any treatment ordered by your doctor, such as blood tests, chemotherapy, or additional physician visits.
If required by your plan, we will obtain prior approval (pre-certification) for services provided by our doctors.
Most treatments for cancer and blood disorders require insurance company certification for payment before therapy is given. Unfortunately, pre-certification does not always guarantee insurance will pay for treatment.
When this happens, you may be personally required by your insurance company to pay for your services.
