Medicare

Medicare Part A pays for hospitalization. Medicare Part B generally pays for chemotherapy in the office and doctor’s visits. Being a Medicare beneficiary does not guarantee that Medicare will pay for all your medicines, chemotherapy, or care.

GCS accepts Medicare Part D for prescription drug covering, if you need information about qualifying or enrolling in Medicare Part D, ask your office patient service representative (front desk).

If you are enrolled in Medicare, we must by law, attempt to collect your co-insurance. Medicare has a payment schedule that we must follow.

Medicare pays 80% of the allowed amount to GCS and you are expected to pay the other 20%. If you have a secondary insurance (such as AARP), the plan will pay your 20%. You must also pay your deductible at the beginning of the year.
