Georgia Cancer Specialists Proudly Announces Partnership with Cytogen and Atlanta Oncology Associates

GCS, Cytogen, and AOA work together to offer patients more information about bone pain from cancer

Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS), the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast, proudly announces its partnership with Cytogen and Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA). The partnership was formed to launch a 2005 campaign that will provide patients information about treatment options for bone pain from cancer.

Dr. Wendy Hawke, Director of Pain and Palliative Services at Georgia Cancer Specialists, said, “bone pain from the spread of cancer is experienced by many patients with advanced disease. Fortunately, there are more cancer therapies and treatments available today than ever before.”

One promising bone pain treatment option for cancer patients is Cytogen’s drug Quadramet®. Quadramet® is a non-narcotic alternative for relieving bone pain from the spread of certain cancers, including prostate and breast.

Information about bone pain treatment options will be provided to patients via billboards, radio and magazine ads, and patient newsletters.
