Roses are red, violets are blue, and Valentines Day is this week.
Now, before you rush out to make dinner reservations or buy flowers, let me tell you an even better way to show that special someone how much you care.
Encourage them to be screened for cancer, and get screened yourself. Cancer screening tests find cancers before they produce symptoms and when cancer is curable.
Did you know that more than a half million people die from cancer each year, but that routine screening tests to find cancer early can lead to a cure most of the time? (ACS)
Today, cancer screenings are more affordable, less invasive, and more accurate than ever before. Most importantly, they save lives.
So on Valentines Day, be there for those you love: Make a date with your doctor and get screened. It could save your life!
This is Dr. Bruce Feinberg. Be well.
