A few years ago a study was conducted in which female smokers in their 40’s were asked to list their greatest health concerns.
Breast cancer was far and away the number one answer, greatly surpassing every other health issue.
Not surprising? Well, it should be!
Female smokers are ten times more likely to die smoking-related deaths from heart attacks, emphysema, and lung cancer than they are from breast cancer.
How could these women have gotten it so wrong? Were they overcome by an irrational fear of cancer? Were they in denial regarding the health impact of their smoking? Did they think heart attacks were something that only happened to men?
The evidence is clear: Not smoking is the single best thing you can do for your health.
So, what do you think? Now that you know the facts will it change the way you live?
