Georgia Cancer Specialists Celebrates Dr. Janice Galleshaw and Her 20 Years with the Practice

Georgia Cancer SpecialistsFollowing two decades of wonderful patient care as a Georgia Cancer Specialists physician, Dr. Janice Galleshaw, who most recently practiced at the GCS-Alpharetta (3330 Preston Ridge Rd., Suite 110; 678-566-6995) and GCS-Northside (1100 Johnson Ferry Rd., Suite 600, Sandy Springs; 404-256-4777) offices, is retiring from GCS. 

The physicians and staff of GCS sincerely thank Dr. Galleshaw for the professionalism, compassion, and strong work ethic she has always exhibited.

Dr. Galleshaw’s area of special interest is breast cancer, and her work has consistently reflected that interest. She was the medical honoree at the Susan G. Komen Foundation Ball in 2004, and served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Cancer Foundation. She also served as the Principal Investigator for the STAR Trial (Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene) for breast cancer prevention in the Atlanta region. The STAR Trial is the largest randomized clinical study of its kind, with 19,000 women taking part.

Dr. Galleshaw plans to enter the physician education field via prIME Oncology, a global organization that specializes in the continuing education of doctors who treat cancer patients.
